Early Morning Bus Ride

Looking out of my window as the wind screws my hair, I wonder when did early morning start feeling so nice. Outside, in a city that is always crowded, empty roads are a pleasant sight. I see the city slowly come to life – a kid who probably lives too far from school, another kid going for cricket practice, a milkman, people like me who are still half asleep yet out for work and I really believe that even birds are slightly sleepy.

Bus rides aren’t usually my favorite mode of transport but I’ll make an exception for this one. I feel calm even though I’m worried for the bus(it might fall apart). It is maybe because of how quiet everything else is or the cold wind OR because I forgot my phone(can’t say I don’t miss it).

We all need more of such calming moments where we just sit back alone and notice small things, let our mind wander or not think at all. Find time for ourselves in our own hectic schedule. Meh.

As though a part of me were also you.
Life isn’t easy, but I know without you
There will be bitterness in all I do.
I feel the broken heaven in my heart,
The blight that will outlast the years of healing,
The darkness underneath all time and art,
The pain that from within there’s no concealing.
We were so much in love when we first met,
A river that would reach, in time, the sea.
We ought to not let despair turn to regret,
But be through choice, what love chose us to be.
No love can last except it be through will.
Were wastelands in our path, I’d love you still.

Vanity Clouds.

Such a light piece of air,

forming its shape at our every imagined whim

Have you ever dreamed of walking on them?

If you’re not careful, the clouds will cast their spell on you

I know because I’ve been bewitched.

They look so soft and comfortable-

But I considered touching them and they fell through […]
